  • Winter knitting

    New Year

    This year began with a lot of knitting. My daughter visited us for the holidays, and I could give her the shawl that I knitted earlier:

    I used the yarn Drops Alpaca.

    And I knitted this hat: Isle Waters, Drops Design.

    And I sent some socks to my parents:

    I knitted a pair of basic woollen socks, following my own pattern, using 2 strands of Drops Fabel yarn.

    Hand warmers for Viki’s friend. I used my own pattern for basic hand warmers, adding an easy pattern :

    I need to rest my hands for a couple of days.

    My two favourite DROPS DESIGN shawl patterns:

    I made both shawls for my Mom as Xmas presents earlier; I enjoyed knitting them. Midnight Mingle is made of the yarn Drops Sky, which is soft and warm to wear.

    Raspberry wrap

    Raspberry wrap is made of Drops Alpaca and Drops Kid-Silk. You really have to focus on the pattern! It was a joy to knit this. The two yarns combined give a good texture. It’s a little on the itchy side, though. You should wear it with a cardigan or a jacket.
