I used Drops Alpaca yarn and 3 mm double-pointed needles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is my pattern of Drops Alpaca handwarmers :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Handwarmers on double-pointed needles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Drops Alpaca, 3mm double-pointed needles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">100g Drops Alpaca yarn<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3mm double-pointed needles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Crochet hook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stitch markers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sewing needle<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/summerbycrochet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/summerbycrochet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-1024x768.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/summerbycrochet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/summerbycrochet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/summerbycrochet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image-1536x1152.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/summerbycrochet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/image.jpeg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cast on 60 stitches on 3mm double-pointed needles. (You can start on one needle, purl 1 row.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">*Purl three, knit two* and divide the stitches on four needles. (12 stitches on each needle; you have decreased 12 stitches in one row)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Start increasing the thumb at the 15th-16th stitches (the 4th rib from the start of the row): yarn over on both sides of the knit-stitch rib. In the last 2 rows, just knit; do not continue the rib stitch. Cast off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thumb: place the 16 stitches on two needles, cast on five stitches at the back of the thumb, divide the stitches on three needles evenly, knit five rows and cast off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knit the right-hand handwarmer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Knit as above; the difference is that you start increasing the thumb part at the 35th-36th stitches.
